Thorneyburn Station on 23/09/1961, 100 years and 3 weeks after opening, viewed from the southeast looking towards Falstone. The short platform is in the foreground with the platform shelter at the far end, unlike other platforms on the branch Thorneyburns was never extended. The goods siding occupied the open space to the right. The gatekeeper/station cottage is to the right in the background.
